Hannah Taylor Jackson
Born and raised in a family of educators and academics, Jackson has been well trained in the art of communication since her childhood years and is a naturally inspiring and empowering orator. As a conservatoire trained composer, Hannahs formal music training combined with her ongoing work as a performer and writer within the pop and jazz industry has given her a dynamic pedagogical mix of expert technical proficiency, artistic exploration and current knowledge across her multiple fields. She has 15 years experience in higher education and currently lectures in vocal studies and original artistry on both the BMus and MMus popular music program at the Royal Northern College of Music.
Alongside this, Hannah has also worked with with many local and national partners to deliver a diverse range of socially engaging music projects, masterclasses and workshops. Recent works include youth music projects for Brighter Sound, Manchester Camerata and The Arts Council and working with the University of Manchester NHS trust on a singing based research project for people with chronic respiratory problems.
"Never underestimate the power of wonder as a musician. Where art is concerned, a spirit of tenacious curiosity and an unquenchable passion often lead where discipline alone cannot tread"
